Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress who hails from Manama, Bahrain and was born into a multi-ethnic household. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez, is from Sri Lanka. Her brothers are younger as well as an older sister. Her family was born and raised in Bahrain. Her parents had relocated to Bahrain in the 80s as a result of the turmoil that occurred in Sri Lanka. After finishing high school in Bahrain she was awarded the Scholarship at the University of Sydney to pursue a Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. Her passion for languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz language school where she mastered French and Arabic while learning Spanish. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6th, 2006 and also competed at Miss Universe 2006. In the wake of her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan Business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was born to badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was in her teens she competed in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international level. But, she resigned from the sport in order to pursue a career as a fashion designer. Padukone was born in Mangalore in India. Her native language Konkani is her origin. Padukone is located in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone is her father as well as a former badminton pro who has international acclaim. Her mother works as an agent for travel.
